Written by me, Mynah Marie
I’m a writer and watercolour artist, and I’ve been a passionate journaler for over a decade. And now, I want to share everything I know about journaling with you.Journaling saved me from depression in a time when I was struggling with grief, financial issues, and lacked a clear career direction. I started by using a simple bullet journal to plan my days and keep track of my thoughts without having much faith that doing this would truly help me.
But after just 2-3 weeks of journaling every day, I was amazed to see how different I felt!
My productivity quadrupled
My anxiety started to quiet down
I was able to regulate my emotions in a much healthier way
My overall self-care improved considerably
All that because of a simple dot grid journal I bought for 5$ in a small shop.

My life didn’t change overnight, but the relationship I had with myself did:
I finally had a place to think, process, and experiment without pressure.
I gave myself permission to have fun with no one else watching.
I had a system I could return to that brought me joy and was easy to sustain over time, even on messy or chaotic days.
Now, my journaling systems have expanded throughout the years: planners, memory keeping, traveler’s notebooks, common place books, art journals… That’s what’s fantastic about journaling, it’s almost impossible not to find a way that works for you.And today, I want to share with you everything you need to know for you to build a mindful and creative daily journaling practice that works for you, so that you too can experience the magic that comes with putting pen (or brush) to paper.
Here’s a sneak peak of what we’ll cover over a period of 5 days:
Day #1: The “I need to buy the best of everything.” syndrome, and how to start journaling today with little to no investment in notebooks or supplies.
Day #2: Why most journaling habits fail before they begin, and how to create a personal “lighthouse” that guides your practice every day.
Day #3: How rigid journaling time rules quietly turn your practice into a chore, and how to build a flexible rhythm that actually sustains motivation.
Day #4: Why repeating the same creative patterns slowly drains the joy from journaling, and how to reintroduce playful exploration without fear of “ruining” your journal.
Day #5: Why copying others can destroy your confidence, and how to borrow inspiration in a way that strengthens your creativity.
Done!
Your Transformational Journaling Roadmap is on the way.
